Space Shipping is a fashion and apparel logistics carrier based in Jamesburg, New Jersey. Since 1992 it has moved freight for national apparel brands and delivered it into mall stores, outlet centers and flagship locations across New Jersey, New York City, Long Island, Connecticut and Eastern Pennsylvania, with pool distribution, consolidation and cross-dock at a secure 41,000 sq ft facility. PVH Corp., parent of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, named Space Shipping its 2011 Zone Carrier of the Year for 99.26% on-time deliveries.
Why apparel freight is different
Apparel moves on a calendar. Floor sets land on a date, seasonal product has a shelf life measured in weeks, and a late carton means markdowns, not just a late carton. Retailers enforce that calendar through routing guides and chargebacks, and mall landlords enforce it through delivery windows, dock rules and security check-ins.
